VỊ TRÍ NẮN DẠNG: INTERFACE, SUBINTERFACE & CÁC VC


- Nắn dạng có thể được áp dụng cho interface vật lý, một subinterface hay trong một số trường hợp áp dụng cho một VC riêng. Tùy theo sự chọn lựa cấu hình, nắn dạng lưu lượng có thể xảy ra riêng biệt trên mỗi VC hoặc nắn dạng nhiều VC cùng với nhau. Trong hầu hết trường hợp thì các kỹ sư muốn nắn riêng từng VC một.

- Khi nắn dạng được áp dụng cho một interface mà các VC cho interface này không tồn tại thì nắn dạng được áp dụng cho interface chính. Nguyên nhân là do không có subinterface hay VC nào trên các interface đó. Tuy nhiên, đối với interface Frame Relay và ATM thì một vài site có nhiều VC, điều này có nghĩa là subinterface có thể được sử dụng. Trong vài trường hợp, hơn một VC được gắn với một subinterface đa điểm, còn lại là sử dụng subinterface point-to-point với một VC gắn với subinterface. Câu hỏi đặt ra là để nắn dạng theo từng VC thì nắn dạng lưu lượng tại đâu?

- R24 có một VC tới site chính ở PB tent. Do R24 chỉ có một VC nên cấu hình trên R24 thậm chí không sử dụng đến subinterface. Nếu cấu hình không sử dụng subinterface trên serial link của R24 thì nắn dạng lưu lượng có thể được cấu hình trên interface vật lý. Nếu cấu hình chứa subinterface thì bạn có thể cho phép nắn dạng lưu lượng trên interface vật lý hay subinterface. Do chỉ có một VC nên không có vấn đề gì khi nắn dạng lưu lượng được cho phép trên interface vật lý hay subinterface - hoạt động tương tự nhau.

- Bây giờ xem xét router chính. Nó có một VC tới mỗi site đầu xa. (Chú ý rằng một VC đã được thêm vào giữa R1 và R2). Vì vậy, trên router chính các subinterface point-to-point được dùng cho các VC tới chi nhánh 3 thông qua 24, và một subinterface đa điểm được dùng cho hai VC tới R1 và R2.
